Grief CLOWNselor
Submit your grief to the Grief CLOWNselor for your own prescription sent directly to you specifically for YOUR grief.
The Grief CLOWNselor exists as the expert who knows nothing as she explores the intersection of Grief and Clown.
Clown has so much to offer and I find the comedy/silly/funny aspects of Clown to be a unique and surprising, but also fitting, match for the heavy/sad/rage aspects of Grief.
I will respond to your request with a short poem and a CLOWN prescription on an Rx pad of paper, designed specifically for you based on what you share (see the sample below).
If you’d like to explore more, I'm open to doing a zoom or an in-person meet up where we can explore physicality and presence and healing Clown modalities to get curious about your grief.
I do not have a degree in grief or therapy or counseling.
I have training in CLOWN.
Clown invites us into Simple Presence.
It reminds us of our own ridiculousness.
Clown is an expert who does not know.
It calls us into vulnerability in order to build resilience.
The work and play of the Grief CLOWNselor is to remind you of these things. To invite you into Simple Presence with your grief. Find the ridiculous, explore your expertise and not-knowing, and feel safe within your vulnerability so your resilience grows stronger.
Sample Grief Rx’s
Grief of Past Self Poem:
Your grief is real.
Think of it as a spiral.
Let it flow up.
Let it wash down.
Grief for Mom & Monday Poem:
Encircle the arms
Nothing there
but space
Memory circling
Everything there
with her
Mmmmmm
Vibrations remember
Mmmmmm
Thrumming heals
Mmmmmm
Singing recalls
Mom on a Monday
The Mundane and The Meaningful
Grief {Art/Therapy/Inspiration/Healing} Resources
Here represents a gathering, a collection of items I’ve discovered in my grief journey that have brought healing, been a balm, or given words to my feelings and sensations or emotions to my overthinking brain. They have helped and guided, and I hope that among them you also find something.
